Ressources

Résumé: This paper is dedicated to the problem of fault tolerant control for Lipshitz nonlinearsystem. As longitudinal vehicle dynamic is nonlinear, it is greatest to deal with the nonlinearitiesin order to ensure stability and even reliability. A fault detection and estimation observer isdesigned in this work to achieve system performances in ...

Résumé: —Technologic advancements have contributed to the spread of sharing economy concepts, a developing phenomenon that favors the shift from private mobility to service-use (shared mobility). One-way carsharing is a most recent and popular kind of shared mobility, that is growing and developing rapidly in various forms. These systems are considered ...

Résumé: We here consider the cognitive and non-cognitive consequences on young adults of growing up with a mother who reported experiencing major financial problems. We use data from the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children to show that early childhood financial problems are associated with worse adolescent cognitive and non-cognitive ...

Résumé: Master athletes are often considered to represent the ideal rate of decline of aerobic function; however, most of the studies interested in active elderly people are often limited to people younger than 75. We aimed to determine the physiological adaptations and aerobic fitness in a selected European population of active ...

Résumé: Nonlinear propagation of intense femtosecond laser pulses in bulk transparent media leads to a specific propagation regime, termed femtosecond filamentation, which in turn produces dramatic spectral broadening, or super-broadening, termed supercontinuum generation. Femtosecond supercontinuum generation in transparent solids represents a compact, efficient and alignment-insensitive technique for generation of coherent broadband ...

Certains pirates modernes ressemblent ...

Résumé: In this paper, we challenge a basic assumption of many cross-lingual transfer techniques: the availability of word aligned parallel corpora, and consider ways to accommodate situations in which such resources do not exist. We show experimentally that, here again, weakly supervised cross-lingual learning techniques can prove useful, once adapted to ...

Résumé: This paper presents a cache-aware configurable hybrid flash translation layer (FTL), named CACH-FTL. It was designed based on the observation that most state-of-the-art flash-specific cache systems above FTLs flush groups of pages belonging to the same data block. CACH-FTL relies on this characteristic to optimize flash write operations placement, as ...

Résumé: This paper introduces a fleet size and mix dial-a-ride problem with multiple passenger types and a heterogeneous fleet of reconfigurable vehicles. In this new variant of the dial-a-ride problem, en-route modifications of the vehicle's inner configuration are allowed. The main consequence is that the vehicle capacity is defined by a ...

Résumé: Treatment with progesterone protects the male and female brain against damage after middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). However, in both sexes, the brain contains significant amounts of endogenous progesterone. It is not known whether endogenously produced progesterone enhances the resistance of the brain to ischemic insult. Here, we used steroid ...

Résumé: Many problems in Machine Learning can be cast into vector-valued functions approximation. Operator-Valued Kernels Operator-Valued Kernels and vector-valued Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Spaces provide a theoretical and versatile framework to address that issue, extending nicely the well-known setting of scalar-valued kernels. However large scale applications are usually not affordable with these ...

Résumé: The introduction of phylogenetic tools in astrophysics started in 2001 and was presented in 2008 at the 12th Evolutionary BiologyMeeting at Marseilles. Many results have been obtained, essentially using Maximum Parsimony (cladistics), covering very diverse kindsof objects of the Universe : galaxies, dwarfs galaxies, gamma ray bursts, globular clusters, stellar ...

Résumé: The strength variability of the concrete-like materials is usually represented, in pheno-menological macroscopic models, using stochastic tools that need to be identified with a large number of experimental tests. The variability phenomenon is then usually linked to the non-uniform characteristics of the material at the mesoscopic scale, due to the ...

Résumé: We study the class of state-space models (or hidden Markov models) and perform maximum likelihood inference on the model parameters. We consider a stochastic approximation expectation-maximization (SAEM) algorithm to maximize the likelihood function with the novelty of using approximate Bayesian computation (ABC) within SAEM. The task is to provide each ...
